Everything about the membership, top-ups, and how Ranked works — in one place.
⭐ Challenge membership
$1/month. The membership makes you “Ranked” — eligible to win the current prize on the Challenge leaderboard — and gives you 20 games each month.
- The 20 monthly games do not roll over — each renewal refreshes your balance to 20.
- Your subscription renews monthly and you can cancel anytime from your profile (Manage / cancel subscription).
- Ranked status applies to the competition you’re subscribed for; staying Ranked in a later competition means keeping your membership active.
- Prices are subject to change; if a change affects your subscription we’ll give you at least 7 days’ notice by email first, and you can cancel before it applies (see Terms).
🎟️ Top-ups (members only)
If your monthly 20 run out, members can buy extra games. Top-ups are a convenience for more attempts — they never buy a better score or better odds. They persist (they stack on top of your monthly refresh) and are only available once you’ve subscribed.

🎁 Free games
Everyone gets a few free games to start. You can also earn more by inviting a friend — when they subscribe, you each get 10 free games.
🏆 Free Play vs Challenge
Free Play is free forever and has its own leaderboard. Challenge Mode is the paid, Ranked competition whose leaderboard decides the prize. The two are ranked separately.

Word Portal is a game of skill, not chance — the highest verified score wins. Word Portal / NekkoFun is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokémon Company or Nintendo.
